advancedDefinition of a Foreign Tourist (Temporary Visitor)


 

A "foreign tourist" is defined as a person without distinction as to race, gender, language or religion, who is proceeding o the Philippines for a legitimate, nonimmigrant purpose such as sightseeing, sports, health, family reasons, training or study (excluding enrolment in schools for the purpose of obtaining a title or degree), religious pilgrimage, business, cultural and scientific purposes.

Nationals who are subjects of deportation/blacklist orders of the Department and the Bureau of Immigration shall not be admitted to the Philippines. Further inquiries may be addressed to the Visa Division (Telephone numbers: 834-4854, 834-3707, and 834-4810), Department of Foreign Affairs, 2330 Roxas Boulevard, Pasay City or to any Philippine Embassy or Consulate abroad.

LIST OF REQUIREMENTS

FOR

NON-QUOTA IMMIGRANT 13(g) APPLICANTS

(Former Filipino National, Spouse and Dependents)

  1. Application form (FA Form No.3 -duly filled-out) Click here to download FA Form No. 3
  2. Proof of former Philippine citizenship such as:  1) Certified/Authenticated Copy of Certificate of Birth; and 2) Copy of old Philippine Passport
  3. Proof of how the Belgian citizenship or other foreign citizenship was acquired (i.e. register or certificate of marriage - if married to a Belgian or other foreign national; adoption papers - if applicant was adopted; etc.)
  4. Certificate of Good Moral Conduct
  5. Certificate of Nationality
  6. Medical Examination Form (FA Form No. 11) - (duly filled-out and signed by a General Medical Practitioner Click here to download FA Form No. 11
  7. Laboratory Results and Analysis duly signed and attested by the General Medical Practitioner (Note:  every page of the medical examination results should bear the stamp and signature of the authorized medical practitioner)
  8. Certification from the doctor for medical clearance against AIDS Virus
  9. Evidence of financial assets (e.g. certificate of land titles, bank account records, etc.)
  10. Authenticated copy of marriage contract (if married in the Philippines, document should have been authenticated by the National Statistics Office and Department of Foreign Affairs in Manila, Philippines)
  11. Photocopy of plane ticket or a confirmed booking from a travel agency
  12. Photocopy of applicants Belgian/Luxembourgish Identification card
  13. Photocopy of passport
  14. For dependent applicants, copy of parent's marriage certificate and other documents cited in item nos. 2 and 3 should also submitted.

 

Note:

a.    All required foreign documents that will be submitted to the Philippine Embassy (Consular Section) should be written in English and duly authenticated/legalized by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Belgium/Luxembourg.  Thus, if the documents secured by the applicants from their respective municipalities/cities are written in French, Dutch or other foreign language text, an official English translation should likewise be secured.

b.    Other requirements not listed on the above list might be required for submission, if warranted.

c.    Applicants are required to submit three (3) set of application forms (together with the original copy of all corresponding documents required), as cited above.

* In most cases, the Foreign Ministry requires an authentication by its Justice Ministry before it authenticates a document.
